Assistant Professor of Biology Chad Heins began a program counting migratory raptors on the Bethany campus over a decade ago. The program came to be known as Bethany Hawkwatch. During the 2016 counting season, volunteers at the Bethany Hawkwatch observed 9,530 raptors representing 20 species from August 15th to December 15th.
Alumna Malia (Krohn) Wiley (’08) is a talented artist, and she was recently honored as the winner of the "Gallery 5004 Best Painting Award" at the Minnesota State Fair's 106th Fine Arts Exhibition.
Gallery 5004 is an event-based art gallery, located in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. The gallery offers a diverse selection of prominent Minnesota artists from the past, as well as many current and emerging artists from the area.
While searching for a college to attend, Jeremy Becker (’18) was intent on finding a school that would be the best place for his interests. He attended Coon Rapids High School (Coon Rapids, Minnesota) with an enrollment of nearly 2,800 students. However, with a student population of about 600, Jeremy was slightly concerned that Bethany might not have some of the opportunities he hoped for.
“Even though I’d heard good things about Bethany, I initially didn’t pay too much attention, and while I wanted to attend a small school, I felt that Bethany might be too small.
