Our member institutions are offering a variety of visit options this fall.

University of Northwestern – St. Paul welcomed as newest member
Effective July 1, the membership of the Minnesota Private College Council expanded to 18 institutions with the addition of University of Northwestern – St. Paul. The Council’s original 14 members came together in 1948. Others have joined over time, most recently Bethany Lutheran College in 2001.

Summer issue of Legislative Update newsletter posted
College students, staff and supporters advocated for additional funding for the Minnesota State Grant program, the lowering of the share of costs that students are expected to pay for college and expanding eligibility for the Hunger Free Campus Program.

Helpful guides and resources to support transfer work
The National Institute for the Study of Transfer Students curates a helpful library of reports and guides that provide assessments of transfer student issues and will help institutions support the success of those attending community colleges before transferring.

State of Minnesota rolls out new college search tool
Over the summer, the Minnesota Office of Higher Education launched its new college search website, MyHigherEd, to help students and families find information on any higher education institution in the state.
