By 2031, 39 percent of jobs in Minnesota will require a bachelor's degree or higher. Looking at all 50 states, Minnesota ranks first in jobs needing a post-secondary degree and fifth in requiring a bachelor’s degree by 2031.

There also will be more job opportunities for four-year college graduates as Minnesota job growth is anticipated to be the highest for jobs requiring a bachelor's degree or higher— with an 8.4 percent increase between 2021 and 2031.
