November 2023

Our 18 private nonprofit colleges and universities are committed to making a high-quality education accessible to students from all backgrounds. One out of four of our member colleges’ undergraduates receive Pell Grants, which are awarded to students with lower incomes. Our share of students who are Pell Grant recipients is similar to the Minnesota State universities.

Looking at averages for other states’ private colleges, our graduation rate for Pell Grant students ranks #3 in the nation. (It also ranks above the rate for other states’ public universities.) That speaks to the commitment Minnesota Private Colleges to serving the needs of all students, regardless of income.
