As a former police officer who was shot in the line of duty, the new esports coach at Concordia College, Moorhead hopes to use lessons he learned in recovery to be a safe space for students needing emotional support.
Governor Tim Walz has appointed 2009 Concordia College, Moorhead graduate Elise Larson to the Minnesota Court of Appeals. Larson is the Water Program director and senior attorney at the Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy and is an adjunct professor at the U of M Law School.
Dr. Gwen Halaas has been selected as the new dean for Concordia College’s Sanford Heimarck School of Health Professions. She is currently vice chancellor of academic affairs and a professor at Washington State University Health Services in Spokane, Wash.
Concordia College graduate, Nate Schema, has been named president and CEO of The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society, which is the largest nonprofit provider of senior care and services in the country.
